DVD Authoring in Austin

I'm back in Austin for a week and a half. What's the occasion, you ask? Well I'm here teaching DVD Studio Pro at the new Apple Training Center over at the Austin School of Film. (I blogged about getting trained up in NY to teach DVDSP back in August.) Yesterday we had a faculty orientation meeting where we got familiar with the classroom and the logistics of how all of this is going to work. In addition to DVD Studio Pro, they are also teaching Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, iLife, and Avid Express HD. If you are at all interested in becoming a Apple Certified User with any of these products you should check out the class schedule here. It's a great opportunity and the classes are affordable when you consider how much knowledge you'll be walking away with.

Midnight Kiss is going well. We've been trying to figure out the most affordable way to get from an offline cut of the movie to and HD 24p Master. Seth and I met with Mike Curtis this morning -- he's well versed in all of the technical details involved with finishing out a low-budget film. Check out his site at HDforIndies.com.
